POST #3 Why we believe in advertising?Diferent polemics

It is tecnically imposible to define who impose a mode, not only in the fashion world but in any field of current life. For example who knows the person that enter in our lifes the Rubick´s bucket?or Tamagotchi?.
It is not a question of a person in concretly, in some way all the modes are a "fault" of the advertising. The advertising has a enormous capacity to move mountains of people it doesn´t matter if they want you to buy a new product or to wear a certain type of clothes, you will wear it or you will buy it.
But what is a mode?Mode are the fleeting tastes who determine customs and trends in any aspect of the life, something that has the general attention centred in itself , that has created one // momentum // around it.
But what it is happening nowadays is that the advertising has a big influence among population and some advertising could be biased and have a negative influence for people.
Not everything is at it seems. The most remarkable example was a video which shows how a model is being made-up, she is a normal girl but after some changes with the photoshop she turns in an explosive woman which appears in the billboards.

It is a Dove´s campaing wich reivindicate the real beauty.

This not only happens with the fashion world, it also happens when you want to see a film, the trailer of a film it´s a kind of advertising which also can be manipulated and you enter in the cinema with a concrete idea of the film and it turns into something complety different.
The last example was the trailer of a recent film, Machete wich was censurated for its extreme violence. The trailer was censurated but not the film, so if you o to the cinema you are going to keep in touch with this violence

Too strict criteria in todays´s too politically correct world or brands taking advantage of releasing polemic ads in order to get deeper impact? What do you think?
