The last post I updated talked about the different techniques used in advertising. However, as time goes by different campaigns surprises us owing to its originality. The key is to take advantage of tools never used before. With the appearance of the web 2.0, the user became the king of Internet, this new perspective became one of the most important in the newest advertising campaigns. The public will participate in the same advert.
Everyone of us know the typical ad on which you have to kill 5 birds so as to "win" the new apple product. However, imagination goes further and sensible companies have benefit from the new tool offered by web 2.0.
Chatroulette is a platform on which anyone can talk with unknown people. The people in charge of the campaign of "The last exorcism" simulated a real conversation on which a girl apparently normal started to chat until she became "possessed" by a demon. Consequently, the Chatroulette users who participated in this fake conversation got the message of the movie and they became the new advertisers of the movie. Thanks to this technique named "virlal marketing" everyone would known about the movie!
