How important is a Fashion Photographer for Advertising?

A photographer it is not only the one who takes pictures. He is also the one of whom depends in the advertising area the success or not of the pictures or ads sold. Or just, talking about marketing, the picture always is a help to visualize what they are trying to sell.

We can say whether advertisements on television or advertisements on the streets and on the internet is perceives at first sight for the eyes and then grasped by the mind and subconscious.

A photographer is looking for the perfect position and all factors involved in it while taking the photo to make the consumer feel desire to buy the product. An example of this could be The Sartorialist, as the author assures that what he is trying to do with the pictures token in the streets of New York, is to show people a more realistic image of what designers are trying to sell. I mean, what he says is that when he was working in the fashion industry, he always felt a disconnection between what he was selling and what people was really wearing. But, we can also see this by ourselves as few times we will see someone dressed with the same clothes that models show us in the catwalk. That could be mainly because people can't afford it, but it is also the most important way to advertise for a designer, not only he's fashion collection, also a way to advertise her work and style and a step to successful life.

Thus, the photographer, in that case is one of whom has the primordial task, as the success of sales of the brand to people not present at the presentation of the collections on the catwalk would be received through ads published in mass communication. So, if the picture is well taken and gets to reflect what the designer
intended to convey to people to buy his product.

Finally, putting an example of a fashion advertisement photographer, Tim Walker tries to sell fashion products doing it in a different way, by a very original and exotic environment. This is also to promote a second idea, as for example if the context is about the past, the picture will provoke a tendency to resort to earlier times.

That is why advertisements are very important and they could be very successful if they get to reflect what they are trying to.
Marketing, is also going by this direction but in a different way as is quite different than advertisements.
